Understanding the difficulty in context
Anxiety, depression, chronic stress and burnout can affect sleep, concentration, relationships, work and physical wellbeing. Treatment begins by understanding the pattern of difficulties, the pressures surrounding them and the ways they are affecting everyday life.
Areas I may help with include
- persistent worry or anxiety
- panic or heightened physiological arousal
- depression or low mood
- chronic stress and overload
- burnout and reduced functioning
- insomnia and stress-related health concerns
Assessment and treatment are individualised. The first task is to understand the nature of the difficulty, relevant history and current circumstances before deciding together on an appropriate way forward.
